We have applied our R2R nanotechnology to the formation and harvesting of custom-shaped particles (photoreceptors, etc.) using a series if R2R in-line steps, starting with the coating of nanocrystals into a substrate covered with pre-formed microcups1, then by recrystallization of the nanocrystals to increase their size, followed by optical sensitization to broaden their wavelength sensitivity across the visible spectrum, and finally transfer of the intact crystal array to a substrate containing a color-filter to provide a full-color photoreceptor system.3
